This is AI Security Multipliers, AI Cybersecurity Governance with Steve. Technology is changing quickly, but understanding what actually matters can be a little harder. So before we get into the episodes, here's Steve to explain what this podcast is about and why he created it.

Hi, I'm Steve, and welcome to AI Security Multipliers. I thought it might be useful to spend a couple of minutes explaining what this podcast is about, and perhaps a little about why I'm doing it. I've spent much of my career working in technology, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and IT leadership. And one thing I've learned is that technology is rarely the hardest part. The difficult part is figuring out what actually matters. What should we invest in? What risks should we worry about? What can we safely ignore? And increasingly, where does AI fit into all of this? It's because right now there's an enormous amount of noise around AI. Some of it is genuinely exciting, some of it is genuinely concerning, and some of it is probably a PowerPoint presentation looking for a problem. This podcast is my attempt to work through all of that, not from the perspective of someone trying to sell you an AI platform, and not from the perspective that AI is either going to solve everything or destroy civilization before lunch. I'm much more interested in what happens when AI meets the real world. How can organizations actually use it? How does it change cybersecurity? What new risks does it create and how should we govern it without killing innovation? And perhaps most importantly, how can AI multiply what people are already capable of doing? That's where the name AI Security Multipliers comes from. Because I don't think the most interesting story is AI replacing people. I think it's AI multiplying what good people and good organizations can accomplish. We'll talk about AI. We'll talk about cybersecurity, we'll talk about governance, leadership, risk, architecture, and occasionally whatever else seems important that week. And I'll try to do it without turning every conversation into a lecture. At the end of each episode, there's also something we call the multiplier. That's one practical idea you can take away and actually do something with, because talking about technology is interesting. Using it is rather more useful. So if you're trying to make sense of AI and cybersecurity, whether you're a technology leader, security professional, business leader, or simply someone trying to understand where all of this is going, you're in the right place. I'm Steve. This is AI Security Multipliers. Thanks for joining me. Let's see where this goes.
